Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 18 March 1988. Rice talks of her early life in Robertson, Missouri and discusses her husband, their marriage, and their children. She describes her religious experiences as a Catholic, her search for another religion, and her conversion to the Mormon Church. She comments on her life as a Mormon.
